Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, made this announcement on Monday in Port Moresby when welcoming the three MPs from the Opposition joining the Government benches.
O’Neill confidently told media that all MPs have all received their DSIP and PSIP funds regardless of which side of the house they are in.
He added that the Government had budgeted for K10 million each for all MPs and made an assurance that the remaining balance will be paid to them before the end of this year.
“All MPs have received their DSIP and PSIP funding and the government is always committed in releasing these funds”
He further clarified that the Government has been fair to all MPs and have never used such funds to lure MPs from the Opposition to join them.
He added that the recent move by Maprik MP, John Simon, Usion Bundi MP Jimmy Uguro and Western Governor Taboi Awi Yoto to join the Government indicated that the Government is intact and stable.
“Regardless of which side of the house you are in, the Government will still fulfil its commitment to the people by releasing the funds.”
The move by the MPs brings a total number of PNC members to 46.
