Huawei’s statements on Solomon Islands undersea cable

​Huawei Technologies has rejected recent media allegations made regarding the Solomon Islands undersea cable project.

The Company in a statement denounce the allegations stating that they have never never given, implied, nor promised any political donations in relation to this project.

“As a global business entity, Huawei does not involve itself in politics.

“Huawei forbids all of its global subsidiaries from making any form of political donation, including in places where this practice is legal.

“Cyber security remains a top priority at Huawei,’’ said Brent Hooley, Huawei Australia’s Media Relations officer.

He went on to add that Huawei incorporated strict security protection into all business processes, and remained open to working with governments and industries to address global cyber security challenges together.
